CISD Family,

As many of you know, in December of 2018, Castleberry ISD began major renovations and additions to Irma Marsh Middle School. The renovations and additions addressed instructional and collaboration spaces, Career and Technology classrooms, a new Fine Arts wing, science labs, and a new library which is located on the second floor. In addition, the cost to renovate and make the needed additions to IMMS was just under $25 million, which CISD paid for without having to pass a bond issue. We are proud to say that every core content area and student program has been impacted in a positive way. This will ensure that our students have the 21st century tools needed to be successful in their post-secondary educational career, as well as the competitive workplace.

Under normal circumstances, CISD would host a traditional open house where members of the community could come tour our new facility. However, given the current situation, we must adhere to the rules and mandates set for us, and do our best to make safe and responsible decisions. Because of this, we are unable to invite the community onto the new campus at this time.

With the help of WRA, the district’s architectural firm, a video was created so that our parents and community members can see the amazing work that has been done for the students of our district. In the future, it is our intention to offer a traditional open house and tour of the facility, but until then, we hope the video will provide you with a glimpse of this beautiful campus which will continue to educate children for generations to come. As always, GO LIONS!
