Remote Conferencing Program

Program Overview

The goal of this program is to provide students in kindergarten through fifth grade the opportunity to continue learning at home if they meet the eligibility requirements as outlined by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) for a temporary medical condition. Once documentation for a temporary medical condition has been received and verified at the campus, the student’s daily attendance will be updated to present for each day they attend remote conferencing.

Application Platforms

During remote conferencing, students will utilize the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) to access the daily agenda, the Google Meet link for live instruction, as well as links to assignments and activities for synchronous and asynchronous instruction. Students will also access learning programs they already use in the classroom, such as Istation, Happy Numbers, and Imagine Math.

Grades K-2

In kindergarten through second grade, students will complete activities that provide practice with the standards being taught in the classroom. All skill assessments will be conducted by the classroom teacher once the student returns to school.

Grades 3-5

Students in third through fifth grade will receive two (2) grades for each subject area during the remote conferencing period. These grades will be provided to the classroom teacher of record once the student returns to school.
