Board Meetings

The Castleberry ISD Board of Education usually meets on the second Monday of each month in the board room located in the Castleberry ISD Administration Building at 5228 Ohio Garden, Fort Worth.  The public is welcome and encouraged to attend the meeting at 5:30 p.m.  Board agendas are posted at the Administration Building, and a summary of the meeting is posted on this web page.

Citizens of the district should understand the process for dealing with concerns, problems, and complaints relating to the school district.  Citizens should address their concerns through proper channels- to the teacher, then to the Principals, Executive Director, Superintendent, and finally the Board of Education.

The public may register to address the Board during regular Board meetings in the Superintendent's Office, 5228 Ohio Garden Road, 817-252-2004. At regular meetings, the Board will allot 30 minutes to hear persons who desire to make comments to the Board. Persons who wish to participate in this portion of the meeting must sign up in the Superintendent's office no later than 1:00 p.m. on the Friday prior to the meeting and shall indicate the topic about which they wish to speak. No presentation may exceed three minutes. Delegation of more than five persons must appoint one person to present their views before the Board. If more than ten persons sign up to speak, the time will be divided equally among those who have signed up to speak. No speaker will be permitted to yield unused time to another speaker. (BED LOCAL Policy)

Board members will hear comments but not directly engage in discussion with citizens during a board meeting.  In response to a citizen's comments, the Board President may direct the Superintendent to research items and report to the Board at a later meeting.
