Castleberry ISD is excited to welcome three new principals to the district this year.


Michelle StappMichelle Stapp
Michelle Stapp is the new principal at Castleberry Elementary School. Mrs. Stapp is a graduate of Texas A&M University. She worked in the mental health field for five years before deciding to pursue an education career. Michelle taught Kindergarten for 6 years at Castleberry Elementary, then moved to 3rd grade for three years. During her teaching career she became interested in pursuing her masters in Educational Administration and graduated in 2013 from Texas A&M University-Commerce. Mrs. Stapp comes from A.V. Cato Elementary in CISD where she served as the Assistant Principal. Michelle is married to Carl and has two daughters. She looks forward to working side by side with her staff in order to provide the best for each student.

Kalyn PerkinsKalyn Perkins
Kalyn Perkins is the new principal at Irma Marsh Middle School. Ms. Perkins started her career in Irving ISD serving as an English teacher. After teaching for six years, Ms. Perkins wanted to support staff as well as students, so she transitioned to the roll Dean of Students. In this position, she was able to coach new teachers on effective classroom management practices while simultaneously case managing at-risk students. Shortly after, Ms. Perkins continued to positively impact student and teacher success as an Administrative liaison and an Assistant Principal for Irving High. Ms. Perkins earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Texas at Arlington and her Master of Education from Southern Methodist University where she continues to serve as a guest lecturer. Ms. Perkins believes that all students and teachers should love attending school and experience success daily. She believes that it is her job to make those conditions possible.

Anna CurtisDr. Anna Curtis
Dr. Anna Curtis is the new principal at Castleberry High School. She is coming to Castleberry from Allen ISD. Anna served 9 years as a French teacher then moved to Administration where she served for 15 years at Lowery Freshman Center. Dr. Curtis earned her Bachelor of Arts in French from Texas State University, her Master of Arts in French from University of Texas at Arlington, and her Doctorate of Philosophy and Education Leadership from the University of North Texas. Anna Curtis is honored by the opportunity to serve our students and staff as Principal of Castleberry High School. She looks forward to the collaborative efforts to inspire students to reach their fullest potential.
