TEA Experiences Issues with Online STAAR Testing

Earlier today, Castleberry ISD, along with numerous districts across the state, experienced issues with the STAAR Online Testing Platform which is managed by the Texas Education Agency and their testing vendor. The issues impacted students here in Castleberry who were taking the online assessments in 4th grade Writing, 7th grade Writing, and English I. Unfortunately, the issues have not been resolved. However, students who took the assessments using paper and pencil have been given the opportunity to complete their test. TEA is expected to send out an update no later than early tomorrow morning providing school districts with updates on the issues with the testing platform and how they have been or are being corrected.
