Cheer on the Lions as they celebrate this year's Superheroes Leading the Way Homecoming! The annual community parade is on Thursday at 6:00 PM. Following the parade, everyone is invited to the Burning of the Letters Community Pep Rally event! Details, times, and locations for all homecoming events are available on this page. 
Castleberry ISD Joins Statewide Effort to Raise Fentanyl Poison Awareness in October
October is Fentanyl Poison Awareness Month and Castleberry ISD is joining school districts across the state to raise awareness about the increasing threat posed by Fentanyl to the health and safety of youth.

Since 2012, National Voter Registration Day has helped more than 5 million people register to vote for the first time or update their registration. Castleberry ISD is excited to offer a community drive-thru event on September 19 from 4:30 - 6:30 PM. Stop by the north end of the high school, look for the white canopy and be "Vote Ready"!

Castleberry ISD Earns State's Highest Fiscal Accountability Rating
Castleberry Independent School District officials announced that the district received a rating of “A” for “Superior Achievement” under Texas’ School FIRST financial accountability rating system. The “Superior Achievement” rating is the state’s highest, demonstrating the quality of Castleberry ISD’s financial management and reporting system.

CS is Elementary™ announced the winners of the CS100 and CS100 “All-In” Awards for commitment to K-5 Computer Science Education. Among the twenty Texas elementary school awardees, A.V. Cato Elementary, Castleberry Elementary, and Joy James Academy of Leadership, have each been awarded the coveted "All-In" CS100 Award. This recognition celebrates their outstanding dedication to computer science education and their unwavering commitment to preparing students for the digital age. ​ The "All-In" CS100 Award is a national recognition that acknowledges elementary schools across the country for their exceptional efforts in aligning instruction to meet state or district standards for computer science education. This distinction serves as a testament to the dedication of our educators and administrators to provide our students with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world.

Castleberry ISD Earns 2023 TAEA District of Distinction Award
The Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) announced the 68 winners of the 2023 District of Distinction Award. Among the list of honorees is Castleberry Independent School District. The districts received the honor for providing a well-rounded education that advocates and integrates visual arts curriculum to inspire creativity and build social emotional learning that connect learners to their community and beyond.

Free After School Program
Castleberry ISD Offers Free After-School Program with 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant
Castleberry ISD is a recipient of the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Center grants. This grant is intended to provide Castleberry ISD students with academic support, enrichment activities (including STEAM, sports, gaming, and more), social-emotional learning, leadership skills, high-impact tutoring (HIT), snack and dinner.

Castleberry ISD Welcomes Jacki Smith as 21st CCLC Specialist
Castleberry ISD welcomes Jacki Smith as the district’s new 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) Program Specialist. Smith joins Castleberry ISD from Birdville ISD where she served as a Site Coordinator and Family Engagement Specialist for the past two years. She started her career in education five years ago as Federal Programs Assistant and Parent Liaison at Franklin County School District.

Kristen Schmitt Named Literacy Instructional Coach
Castleberry ISD is thrilled to announce the promotion of Kristen Schmitt as the district’s new Literacy Instructional Coach. Schmitt has served the Castleberry Independent School District for the past four years as a fourth grade ELAR teacher at Joy James Academy of Leadership. Prior to joining Castleberry ISD, she started her career in education at Fort Worth ISD, where she was a third and fourth grade teacher.

Castleberry ISD welcomes Claudine Avila as the district’s new 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) Director. Avila joins Castleberry ISD from Birdville ISD where she served as Project Director for the past four years. She started her career in education 20 years ago as a paraprofessional. 
Back to School Traffic Routes
Traffic Routes for Each Campus
Castleberry ISD welcomes all students back for the 2023-2024 school year on Wednesday, August 9! In preparation for the first day, parents are encouraged to be aware of the traffic flow for each campus. While school is in session, please be extra cautious in traffic. Be aware that school traffic zones will be in effect during morning drop off and afternoon dismissal. Students will be walking to and from school, so please be cautious while driving and be aware of pedestrians.
