Castleberry High School Class of 2024 Valedictorian and Salutatorian

Castleberry High School proudly announces its distinguished achievers for the class of 2024. At Monday night’s school board meeting, Principal Ruben Molinar revealed the valedictorian and salutatorian for this year: Evelyn Yvonne Garcia and Kristian Tyler Perez, respectively. 

 

Evelyn Garcia, ValedictorianEvelyn Garcia, the valedictorian for the class of 2024, has been a Castleberry Lion for 15 years, attending Joy James Elementary and Castleberry Elementary in her primary years. Evelyn is the daughter of Maria and Rodrigo Garcia.

Throughout high school, Evelyn has showcased an interest in the arts and athletics, participating in four years of band and three years of visual art, alongside her three-year commitment to cross country and track. Additionally, her involvement in the National Honor Society underscores her commitment to both academic excellence and community service. Evelyn has excelled academically while enrolled in Advanced Placement, University of Texas OnRamps, and Tarrant County College Dual Credit courses. She has earned a total of 33.5 high school credits and maintained an overall GPA of 5.067. Evelyn will attend the University of Texas at Dallas in the fall and will major in Graphic Design with an emphasis in video game production.

Kristian Perez, SalutatorianKristian Perez, the salutatorian for the class of 2024, has been a Castleberry Lion for 13 years, attending A.V. Cato Elementary for his primary years. Kristian is the son of Amanda Johnson, Stefanie and Anthony Perez.

Throughout high school, Kristian has demonstrated leadership through his involvement in various organizations including the National Honor Society, Student Council, and National Technical Honor Society. His academic journey is marked by his enrollment in Advanced Placement World History - Modern and Computer Science courses, as well as his completion of 27 hours of OnRamps courses through the University of Texas and several dual credit courses at Tarrant County College. He is graduating with 33 high school credits and an overall GPA of 5.041.Kristian will attend Southern Methodist University in the fall and will major in Biomedical Engineering.


The commencement ceremony for Castleberry High School and REACH High School's class of 2024 is scheduled for 7:30 PM on Friday, May 24, at the MacGorman Chapel and Performing Arts Center, on the campus of Southwestern Theological Seminary.
