Castleberry ISD welcomes Joseph Kelly as an assistant principal at Castleberry High School. Kelly joins Castleberry ISD from Midlothian ISD, where he served as an assistant principal for the past two years. He began his career in education seven years ago as a life science teacher at Mansfield High School in Mansfield ISD.

Kelly is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Arlington. He holds a Master of Education in Leadership from the University of Texas at Tyler. Additionally, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of North Texas.

While teaching at Mansfield High School, Kelly took on multiple roles on campus and discovered a passion for mentoring new teachers, guiding them through their early careers. This passion drove Kelly to pursue administration, seeking a broader impact. For the past two years, he has served as an assistant principal at Midlothian ISD, focusing on creating a supportive and effective educational environment for students and staff.

A native Texan, Kelly grew up and attended school in Arlington, Texas, where he met his wife. He enjoys traveling the world with his wife, spending time with friends and family, and attending concerts in his spare time.

Kelly is passionate about building positive relationships with the community to enhance academic success on campus. He looks forward to developing strong connections with students, faculty, and community members at Castleberry ISD. Kelly expresses his gratitude to the Superintendent and Board for the opportunity to serve.
