Committee Purpose

The purpose of the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council is to provide feedback and input to the Superintendent and Board of Trustees regarding District and campus initiatives, events, and procedures.

Student Advisory Officers

Committee Membership

The council is composed of thirty one students from each campus representing grades 3-12. There are 3 representatives from each elementary campus, 10 representatives from the middle school campus, and a total of 12 representatives from the 2 high school campuses.

Committee Commitment

Students will attend four meetings with the Superintendent, Mrs. Renee Smith-Faulkner.

On May 6, 2024, the committee will create a presentation to share with the members of the Board of Trustees at the monthly School Board meeting. Students may have activities or tasks to perform to prepare for each meeting.

Term Limits

Members remain on the council for the school year, but they may reapply if they wish to remain on for subsequent years.

Appointment Timeframe

Members are selected in August and remain on the committee through the last day of school for that school-year.
